A web app developer recently set up an Amazon web server for his medical apps.
Jeff Ries and his team set up the Amazon Web App Engine (AWS) server in a Google Cloud Storage (GCS) environment.
The AWS server was able to handle all the requests from the app and serve them on a local filesystem.
Jeff said he used the Amazon cloud service for the initial setup because it was the only cloud hosting solution that supported Amazon Web Services.
The first release of the app will be available for iOS and Android devices in the coming weeks.
Jeff added that he plans to extend the AWS server to support more apps and devices.
“I’m going to add a few more things to the app, but I’m really excited about that and the new AWS cloud service.
I think it’s going to be a real game changer for us as developers,” he said.
